Cineye Privacy Policy
Cineye Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026
Cineye is a cinema education app developed by Cinematic Memories. This policy explains what data the app does and does not collect.
Information We Do Not Collect
Cineye does not require account creation, login, or any personal information. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information Stored On Your Device
Your watchlist, watched history, custom lists, and film preferences are stored locally on your device using standard app storage. This data is never transmitted to us or any third party, and is deleted automatically if you delete the app.
Third Party Services
Cineye uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to display film posters, cast and crew photos, synopses, and trailers. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. TMDB's privacy practices are described at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
Cineye embeds YouTube videos for trailers and film clips. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (operated by Google) may collect data according to its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not control this data collection.
Children's Privacy
Cineye does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data at all, this applies regardless of the user's age.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on your behalf. All app data lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Updates will be posted at this same URL.
